We asked a variety of local businesses the following question:
“Our digital point system allows customers to earn points towards a $10 gift card or a free product or blowout.” – Madi Tiso-D’aquanni, owner of the Hair Wharf in Katonah
After COVID-19, we wanted to thank our loyal customers and help them many of them get through difficult times as they resumed their lives. So, we launched Hairbox, a digital points system.
“It was our way of saying thank you to our customers and show them how much we appreciate them,” says Madi Tiso-D’aquanni, owner of the Hair Wharf.
All clients need to do to register is give us their phone number. Then, every time they come in, they earn points for every dollar they spend. They can pay by cash, check or credit card and accumulate points. As they checkout, they’re told how many points they’ve earned and how close they are to a gift card, free product or blowout.
“Everyone loves it,” says Tiso-D’aquanni. “As soon as they walk in, many of our customers ask, ‘How many points do I have?’ Most of our customers cash in their $10 gift card as soon as they earn it, but we do have a couple of clients save up for a free product or blowout.”
You need 500 points to earn the $10 gift card, 1,500 points for a free product and 5,000 for a blowout.
“The points add up pretty quickly, and they don’t expire,” Tiso-D’aquanni explains. “You can put your entire family on one account. So, if you’re all coming in for haircuts and one or two of you get color, then you can redeem your points pretty quickly.”
After you’ve checked out, you’ll receive a text message with an accounting of your current points.
“Everyone really appreciates that we offer this points system, because it helps everyone out,” says Tiso-D’aquanni. “It’s a thank you for coming here.”
