Meet Liev, a nine-year-old boy who is a rising fourth grader at Pequenakonck Elementary School. Besides playing with his dog, he likes to build Lego sets and solve a variety of cubes and puzzles. While Liev was supposed to be the star of the show, his older sister Charlotte, a rising sixth grader, had an opinion too.

What is your record for solving the three by three cube?

23 seconds.

What is the largest cube you can solve?

The nine by nine.

How long does it take you to solve?

About an hour.

What is your favorite snack?

Sushki. It’s a Russian cracker in the shape of a ring. I also like yazyk.

What is that?

Beef tongue. It looks horrible but tastes delicious.

What is your favorite animal?

Turtles or dogs.

What if you were to combine a turtle and a dog?

I can’t even imagine that.

Charlotte: I’m imagining this giant shell and a dog’s head poking out of it saying, “yoo-hoo!”

If you could trade places with your dog, what would you do first?

I would run away before I got captured, so I wouldn’t have to go through torture.

Charlotte: I would immediately go to Liev and scratch him like crazy.

What is a minor inconvenience that really annoys you?

My sister.

Charlotte: I have an answer too, but I’m not going to talk about it.

If you had $1,000, what would you buy?

A PlayStation.

Charlotte: I would buy front-row tickets to an NBA game. Then I’d get every single NBA player to sign a basketball, and that’d be worth so much money.

NBA or WNBA?

Charlotte: Just NBA.

Finish this sentence: I want people to see me as ____.

A coach.

Charlotte: A role model.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

Invisibility, so I could annoy my sister and then run away.

What do you wish your parents would let you do, but they always say no?

Stay up until 2 a.m.

What would you be doing at 2 a.m.?

Having a party.

Describe this party.

Not possible.
