As part of the local scene for 47 years, Mount Kisco Seafood has a reputation for knowing their fish. Their friendly and knowledgeable staff can give suggestions on how to cook each fish as well as ideas for delicious accompaniments. And although fish is their specialty, they also offer organic local produce, cheese, bread and baked goods from local purveyors.

With on-site chefs, Mount Kisco Seafood also sells freshly prepared foods daily, including specialty salads, dinners, soups and sauces. And for those sushi lovers, James Sushi greets you as soon as you walk in the door. Pick up a ready-made item or ask James to prepare your specific order on the spot.

Owners Joe and Joni DiMauro fervently give back, participating in food drives with organizations like the Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry and sponsoring local sports teams. They also donate platters and “countless pounds of poached salmon” to local arts organizations, nonprofits and community-based programs. And Joe has even served as a volunteer auctioneer for live fundraising events.

Ever Wonder?

Mount Kisco Seafood’s first location was at 417 Lexington Avenue, just down the street from their current spot. Before remodeling, they were located in a small house equipped with two cases, a walk-in refrigerator and a tiny kitchen upstairs.

Gia Miller is an award-winning journalist and the editor-in-chief/co-publisher of Connect to Northern Westchester. She has a magazine journalism degree (yes, that's a real thing) from the University of Georgia and has written for countless national publications, ranging from SELF to The Washington Post. Gia desperately wishes schools still taught grammar. Also, she wants everyone to know they can delete the word "that" from about 90% of their sentences, and there's no such thing as "first annual." When she's not running her media empire, Gia enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, laughing at her crazy dog and listening to a good podcast. She thanks multiple alarms, fermented grapes and her amazing husband for helping her get through each day. Her love languages are food and humor.
