Whether you’re looking for a cozy date night, craving some comfort food after a long day or searching for top-notch sushi with the family, 10-year-old Dai Sushi is the place to go in Westchester. Considered by many a “hidden gem,” Dai Sushi is located in a small, quaint house on Pleasantville Road. But for those in the know, the restaurant’s mouth-watering array of delicious Japanese dishes and sushi is not to be missed.

Committed to fresh ingredients and superior quality, Dai Sushi imports many of their ingredients from Japan, delivering the authentic flavors customers know and love. Some of their most popular dishes include the Super Deluxe, featuring the chef’s choice of eight pieces of premium assorted sushi with a toro scallion and oshinko roll, the Omakase Sashimi, featuring the chef’s choice of 16 pieces of premium assorted sashimi, and the spicy tuna roll.

Ever Wonder?

Alex Dai began working as a sushi helper in the very restaurant he now owns. After becoming a sushi chef and spending several more years in restaurants “learning the trade,” he worked at Nobu in Tribeca. Eventually, Dai wanted to start his own business, and Dai’s former boss asked him if he wanted to take over. Dai said yes, changed the name, and the rest is history.

Gia Miller is an award-winning journalist and the editor-in-chief/co-publisher of Connect to Northern Westchester. She has a magazine journalism degree (yes, that's a real thing) from the University of Georgia and has written for countless national publications, ranging from SELF to The Washington Post. Gia desperately wishes schools still taught grammar. Also, she wants everyone to know they can delete the word "that" from about 90% of their sentences, and there's no such thing as "first annual." When she's not running her media empire, Gia enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, laughing at her crazy dog and listening to a good podcast. She thanks multiple alarms, fermented grapes and her amazing husband for helping her get through each day. Her love languages are food and humor.
