The Jacob Burns Film Center, founded in 2001, is a nonprofit five-screen cinema and education center in Pleasantville. Our mission is to gather audiences, students, and filmmakers to experience the joy of film and learn about the craft, ourselves, and each other. Our year-end giving campaign, Supporting Our Film Community, supports our many dynamic film programs. These programs foster cross-cultural awareness, empathy, dialogue, and connection; inspire more than 5,000 students through innovative programs on the JBFC campus; underwrite participation fees for over 3,500 students from under-resourced schools; and deepen vibrant collaborations with NYU Tisch & Imagine Entertainment. Our devoted community inspired the JBFC Board of Directors to match all contributions received by December 31, up to $150,000.
