What is one thing you do that seems small but makes a huge difference?
The approach towards the customers. I always try to be generous and open to our customers. I greet them, smile when they come in and treat them as best as I can.
If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing instead?
By profession, actually, I am a meteorologist. I finished school back home in Montenegro, but when I came here, I didn’t pursue that. Instead, I started in the restaurant business.
What’s the best advice?
Be sincere and be yourself.
When did you open?
The business was open for probably 100 years now, but I purchased it in January 2022.
What’s something your business does differently than others?
The quality of food. The second is service, and the third is the choice of items on our menu. There’s a lot of wild game, a lot of sticking to the local farmers and ingredients.
What is the one thing people often say when they walk in?
Amazing vibe, and an amazing place, yeah? There’s a lot of history.
What is your most popular item or service that you provide on the menu?
Our most popular item is our duck quesadillas.
What is something you wish more people knew about your business, you and your business?
I wish they knew that, since we are sort of secluded, that we are here in the middle of a neighborhood; I wish they knew our location. And that they knew how good the food is and what a hidden gem it is.
