What’s one thing your customers don’t know you do behind the scenes?

The teachers and I meticulously curate the Spotify playlist that plays throughout the common areas of the school. We’re a music school after all, so of course we need to have great tunes playing!

If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing instead?

I was a tech executive for years, so if I hadn’t left that career I’d probably still be doing quarterly business reviews and roadmap presentations.

What’s the best advice you ever received?

Stay present. It’s easy to spin out about the future, especially when you’re trying to get a brand new business off of the ground. Focusing on what’s happening right in front of you has been an essential skill.

When did you open (month & year)?

September 9, 2024

Describe your business in three words.

Community through music!

What’s one thing people often say when they first walk in?

“I love the vibe!”

What is your most popular service?

It’s a tossup between voice and piano lessons.

What is something you wish more people knew about your business?

Music is for everyone, of every age. Learning it does not require some blessing from the universe, an arts degree, or mystical, Jedi-like powers. If you’ve ever had even an inkling that it’s something you’d like to explore or might enjoy doing, go for it (even if it’s not with us)! The world always needs more music made by human beings.
