Jennifer Wege’s Pick
Why she chose them:
“Such a great selection. It’s always a go-to when I need an outfit.”
What is the first thing you do when you open for the day?
I turn on the lights, put on music, and take a quick walk through the store to make sure everything feels fresh and ready for the day.
What’s one thing your customers don’t know you do behind the scenes?
I am constantly restocking, tagging new merchandise, and rearranging displays so there is always something new to catch a customer’s eye.
What’s something you’ve gotten better at every year?
Buying. I am constantly taking note of what our customers gravitate toward and how to curate a selection that feels both wearable and special.
What’s something you do that seems small but makes a huge difference?
Refreshing the racks throughout the day. A quick tidy or moving a piece to a new spot often helps a customer discover something they didn’t realize they were looking for.
What’s one item you always have on hand?
A notepad. Even with so much technology, I still rely on it constantly for jotting down ideas, to-dos, and quick notes for my staff.
What’s your dream customer reaction?
When a customer says “I love everything in here.” It’s the best hearing because it lets me know that the store feels inviting and well-curated.
What’s the one thing your business couldn’t function without?
We could not survive without our customers! Josie’s is still under a year old and so many people are still discovering us. Word of mouth, social media has been amazing for us. We have a very supportive community.
Tell us about your favorite local spot.
Bedford 234 is my go to dinner spot. Great food, fun atmosphere and the owners and staff are always so welcoming.
What is your most popular item?
Our faux fur mittens have been flying out the door!
