Footloose: The Musical
Get ready to kick off your Sunday shoes! Fox Lane Middle School proudly presents the high-energy musical sensation, Footloose! Based on the beloved 1984 film, this show tells the story of Ren McCormack, played by Jasper Fox, a Chicago teen who moves to the small, conservative town of Bomont, where dancing and rock music are strictly forbidden. Ren quickly clashes with the local minister, Reverend Shaw Moore played by Emry Wetzel, but he finds allies in the Reverend’s rebellious daughter, Ariel, played by Gianna McGinn, and her best friend, Rusty, played by Josephine Bilmes. Through electrifying dance numbers and classic 80s hits, Ren and his friends fight to bring music and joy back to Bomont.
Don’t miss this incredible production featuring a talented cast of over 60 Fox Lane Middle School students!
Footloose will be performed on March 7th at 7:00 PM and March 8th at 1:00 PM at the Mary Lou Meese Theater at Fox Lane High School.
