The annual Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival is dedicated to promoting literacy and connecting readers 18 and under with authors and illustrators. Since its inception in 2013, we have featured hundreds of children’s book authors, including New York Times best-selling authors Mary Pope Osborne (Magic Tree House series) and Laura Numeroff (If You Give a Mouse a Cookie). Kids and their parents/caregivers can enjoy author readings, illustrator demonstrations and book signings, along with a Family Fun Zone offering crafts and activities for children. Books are available for purchase and signing., and a portion of our proceeds support local literacy programs. Parking and admission to the festival are free.
