What is the first thing you do when you open for the day?
Unbox and display whatever arrived the night before. We shop small and always have new goods coming in, so we are constantly unboxing new arrivals!
What’s one thing your customers don’t know you do behind the scenes?
All the research: Identifying trends, finding products, vetting quality, then delivering it to our customers.
What’s one item you always have on hand?
Non-toxic firestarters—Citronella for the summer outdoors and scented interior for indoor fireplaces during the winter months.
What’s something you do that seems small but makes a huge difference?
Getting to know and genuinely care about our customers and community.
What was your “I made it” moment?
When Martha walked through our doors. JK that didn’t happen (yet). Literally every positive review, comment and most particularly this Connect To award gives me that feeling of success.
What northern Westchester business do you secretly (or not so secretly) love?
B’rers has become my favorite comfort food spot. The smash burger is delish.
If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing instead?
Teaching/reading intervention—although I still tutor.
What’s something your business does differently than anyone else?
Connection. We genuinely care and listen to our customers. If you want it, we want to make it happen for you.
What’s one thing people often say when they first walk in?
“This shop is so warm and comforting.” Or, “This shop reminds me of my favorite vacation spot shop.”
What is something you wish more people knew about your business?
We strive to provide our customers with items you won’t find anywhere else *or at least find it here first. 😉 Our products are thoroughly researched and vetted to provide our customers the best of the best.
