We transformed a sloped, overgrown garden into a compact yet luxurious recreational retreat. After leveling the terrain, we installed a saltwater pool featuring an integrated spa, expansive sun shelf and elongated bench. European granite terraces at either end create dedicated zones for lounging, and the adjacent floating terrace is perfect for entertaining. The stone retaining wall—designed to match the house—anchors the space, and native flowering perennials and shrubs seamlessly blend  into the surroundings. The result is the landscaping equivalent of a Ferrari: everything you want in a compact, luxurious space.

We began by removing the outdated freeform pool and collaborating with the general contractor to design a 60-foot, heated indoor saltwater lap pool. The intent was to create a seamless transition between interior and exterior, which was achieved through floor-to-ceiling glass and a continuous palette of granite, marble and porcelain tile that flows effortlessly between the two environments.

We chose “Salome” by renowned local artist Ed Giobbi; its bold reds, greens, and yellows—and the abstract figures of a king, queen and lover—brought the room to life. A red John Plunket painting, discovered in another room, provided the final note, completing the old-world European look the homeowner envisioned

To enhance the natural beauty of the property and create a more elegant outdoor dining experience, we began by removing 20 large trees, replacing them with 30 sculptural ones. We planted hundreds of flowers and plants, installed a new sprinkler system and replaced the existing well. Finally, we installed a tasteful lighting system that enhanced the space.

This couple dreamed of transforming their small screened porch into a four-season retreat where they could feel completely connected to the outdoors throughout the year. We expanded the space, creating a 20’ x 40’ room featuring perpendicular 12-foot glass doors, a 14-foot cedar-planked ceiling, a natural stone gas fireplace and radiant-heated red oak floors. Additionally, we built an 800-square-foot patio, complete with a hot tub, creating the perfect oasis for these longtime homeowners.
