Whether you just got back from a warm vacation or are dreaming of escaping the cold, a Batida is the perfect cocktail to conjure up those tropical vibes. This Brazilian cocktail features their famed spirit cachaça, fruit juice or coconut milk, and sugar. For this version, I combined two traditional recipes, blending coconut milk and condensed milk for a creamier cocktail, and made mango the star ingredient.

Ingredients

SERVES TWO.

2 oz. puréed mango

2 oz. coconut milk

2 oz. condensed milk

6 oz. cachaça

Ice cubes

Allspice

Whole nutmeg

Shaved mango, fresh or frozen

Directions 

Combine mango, coconut milk, condensed milk and cachaça in a cocktail shaker. Add several cubes of ice and shake for approximately 30 seconds. Place four ice cubes in each glass and pour the cocktail. Top with a dash of allspice, freshly ground nutmeg and shaved mango.
