Celebrate Giving Tuesday with Magazzino Italian Art

This day inspires us to give, collaborate, and share our love and appreciation for Italian art and culture with our community.

Thanks to generous donations, Magazzino Italian Art has rapidly expanded in the past six years, growing our curatorial, research and public programs, and adding to our Cold Spring campus with the Robert Olnick Pavilion.

The new pavilion allows Magazzino to broaden its educational programming, furthering the museum’s investment in our community by offering engaging, year-round educational programming hosted in the multi-purpose room.

With the opening of the Robert Olnick Pavilion, Magazzino is now able to host more temporary exhibitions and special projects. Mario Schifano: The Rise of the ‘60s, Ettore Spalletti: Parole di colore, and Carlo Scarpa: Timeless Masterpieces all showcase the impact and enduring resonances of Italian postwar and contemporary art.

Our donors make it possible to:

Curate ambitious on-site and off-site exhibitions

Present engaging programs, from our Spring Lecture Series to Cinema in Piazza

Support contemporary Italian artists

Fund acquisitions for the Germano Celant Research Center

Advance scholarship on Italian art through the Scholar-in-Residence program

Provide educational programs and internships for the local community

Publish high-quality exhibition catalogues with contributions from leading scholars

Preserve our beautiful grounds and care for our lovable Sardinian donkeys
