A Parsons School of Design alumnus and former fashion designer, Kathleen Usherwood, a licensed real estate salesperson with COMPASS, creative expertise benefits her clients. “I use my design skills to style and market  a house with the goal of attracting the greatest attention from the most motivated buyers.”

Usherwood suggests simple updates and style touches that add value to the home, and she uses on-trend marketing to set the home up for success. “I set the stage for buyers to envision themselves sitting on the patio with a cup of coffee each morning and a glass of wine in the garden in the evening.”

“Buyers are not just buying a house, they’re buying a lifestyle. So I make it a priority to help each client find the towns that match their lifestyle, cultural and style sensibilities. Then, we look for the house—modern, classic, antique—where they can see themselves making a home.”

Licensed in NY and CT, Usherwood focuses on Westchester and Fairfield counties. She’s also the curator/creator of the HOUSEtalks events, which feature local design and house professionals, and the author of the monthly blog and newsletter, HOUSEwalks, which highlights local design and unique properties.

You’ll often hear Kathleen say, “If you feel at home here, it’s because you belong here.”
