The Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry's Inaugural Spring Event - Join us at our "Community Table"
The Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry is excited to announce its upcoming inaugural spring event, the "Community Table" benefit. The event will be held on May 22, 2024, from 6-9 pm at the Bedford Historical Hall, located at 608 Old Post Road, Bedford, NY.
Join the Pantry at this community table event dedicated to raising funds for the Pantry and the people that it supports in our community. The evening will feature a delightful spread of drinks and hors d'oeuvres, accompanied by captivating music performed by DogBone.
At the heart of the Pantry's vision is a community where everyone has enough food to thrive, and this event serves as a testament to the Pantry’s dedication to that cause.
Trina Ward Fontaine, Executive Director of the Pantry stated: “We are excited to introduce our inaugural signature spring event, The Community Table. The evening focuses on the importance of putting enough satisfying, healthy, and nutritious food on the dining table where important connections and memories are made with family and friends. For an increasing number of our neighbors in Northern Westchester, this continues to be a challenge. The number of households that depend on us continues to grow, as does the frequency with which people visit our weekly choice Pantry. Together, we have been able to accommodate the dramatic increase in guest numbers to approximately 102,000 people in 2023.”
Ms. Fontaine further stated: “Economic indicators show no signs that this need will ease or that food prices will decrease in absolute terms. Our monthly numbers thus far in 2024 bear this out. Please come support our neighbors in need and enjoy some good food and community while doing so. If you cannot join us, please consider making a donation and/or join us to volunteer.”
Do not miss this wonderful occasion to support the Pantry’s mission of resetting the table for those facing food insecurity and ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry.
