With their unrivaled virtuosity and infectious energy, the Pacifica Quartet owns a well-deserved reputation as one of the most esteemed chamber ensembles of our time. Caramoor’s 2001 –2002 Ernst Stiefel String Quartet-in-residence, the Pacifica has been together for almost three decades, a longevity not many other quartets can boast about. Along with one of the favorite late Beethoven quartets, Pacifica will showcase works by Erich Wolfgang Korngold and Louis Gruenberg, two composers behind many classic Hollywood scores of the ’40s and ’50s.
