On Friday, March 13, The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band brings his Ledbetter Heights 30th Anniversary Tour to Paramount Hudson Valley. Thirty years ago, a Fender Strat–wielding teenager from Shreveport, Louisiana rocketed the blues back into the mainstream with the Platinum-selling Ledbetter Heights—a fiery, hook-smart, and reverent burst of guitar prowess that cut through the grunge era and reintroduced blues to a new generation. That breakout vaulted Shepherd from small clubs to Top-10 charts and earned him industry acclaim, a passionate fanbase, and a spot in Guitar World’s rankings just behind B.B. King and Eric Clapton. Now a master rather than a prodigy, Shepherd has returned to where it all began with a faithful, full-band re-recording of his landmark debut in honor of its 30th anniversary.
