Women Through Women

Pound Ridge Library 271 Westchester Avenue, Pound Ridge, NY 10576

A selected group exhibition of works by Gail Buggy, Tracy Burtz, Kelly Edwards, Marcy B. Freedman, Katie Goldberg, Monique Ford, Margaret Fox, Kate Marlowe and Jen Mullowney, curated by Monique Ford.

Women Through Women, runs from March 18th through, May 10th at the Pound Ridge Library with an reception and artist talk on Saturday, April 19th from 3-5pm.

Women Through Women brings together the work of Westchester and Connecticut based female artists to honor the sacred power of the female form. Some artists are instinctively drawn to the human body, particularly the female form, as a means of expressing their most direct and powerful narratives.

Whether approached from a documentary angle or interpreted through brushstrokes each artist shares a diverse range of stories, all seen through the female lens. The works in this collection are capable of being both intimate and profound, as well as lighthearted and whimsical, capturing the multifaceted nature of the female experience.
