258 Main Street Ridgefield CT 06877
The RSO Quartet members violinists Jorge Avila and Mialtin Zhezha, violist Suzanne Corey-Sahlin, and cellist Nicholas Hardie are the four principal string players of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra. They select music that is inspired by Layo Bright: Dawn and Dusk, a current exhibition at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum. The October 18th concert will include selections from Franz Schubert’s “Rosamunde” Quartet, Joseph Haydn’s “Sunrise” Quartet, Giacomo Puccini’s “Chrysanthemums” and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Fantasiestücke “Humoresque”. The connections between the music and the art will be articulated throughout the performance and highlight both the gorgeous music and the beauty and strength of the art.
