D.I.G. Farm
Led by: Basketmaker Maxwell Sechzer.
Nature is the best source of craft material that can beautify and enhance our lives and homes. In this class we be using an ancient technique found all over the world to make strong yet flexbile bags/baskets. Basketmakers will learn how to identify and harvest the correct plants, process their bast fibers, produce their own cordage, and finally weave their cordage into baskets. You will leave class with the ability to go into your own neighborhoods (or even yards) and create finer and larger baskets right away.
This class is perfect for both the beginner basketmaker and beginner forager. Appropriate For: Ages 16+
